Summer Student Internships

Student Researchers With Child

The Shaw Center hosts a summer internship every year where college students can learn valuable research skills. Students in our internships work part-time and gain hands-on experience working on a variety of research projects. Activities include data collection from children and their parents, using video equipment, coding behavioral interactions, and playing with children. Opportunities for more in-depth engagement in research and presentation of findings are available. Training will begin in late May and work will continue through the mid-August (with individually scheduled breaks). Additional training opportunities and social events will also be available through the network of internship programs at the University.

Applications for the summer of 2024 are now closed. Please check back in January 2025 to learn more about the summer of 2025 internship.
